What is Genetic Counseling

Genetic counseling consultations provide open discussions surrounding how genetics pertains to health, whether or not genetic testing is appropriate, and options for both preventative care and other medical treatments. We know that discussing your personal and family health is not always easy.

Our mission is to offer a supportive and personalized one-on-one setting that helps you feel confident in making informed personal healthcare decisions.

How Can Clover Genetics Help You Through This Process?

Discussion and Evaluation... We help you understand the way genetics influences medical conditions and how individuals may be affected by changes within their genes. This includes evaluating our patients for possible genetic causes of symptoms or disease.

Prevention or Testing... By working with you and your physician, we figure out the best possible options available to you ranging from education and information on preventative care, to available screening and testing options.

Treatment and Management... If a diagnosis is identified, we can work with your physician to provide access to better treatment and management for you or your family, including connecting individuals to research studies and breakthrough treatment options as applicable.

Recurrence Risk…  If a diagnosis is identified, we can often provide guidance on recurrence risk, meaning the chance of the same diagnosis presenting in other family members or a future pregnancy.

Accommodations…  Your time is important. We offer telehealth appointments from the comfort of your home, often as soon as the same day requested. No need to request time off work months in advance, navigate a huge hospital, or arrange transportation and childcare.

Finding a Community... Community support can be immensely important. Because of this, we make the effort to find and connect you to communities of people sharing your experience.
