Our Patient Workflow:
Registration: Complete the consultation request linked here. Receive an email or phone call to confirm your data has been received, instructions to complete paperwork within our Patient Portal, and details on your options for scheduling an appointment.
Initial consults are $300 out-of-pocket. You will be required to put a card on file and will be charged the initial $150 non-refundable deposit for your appointment. The remaining $150 fee will be charged following the conclusion of your appointment.
If this amount is not feasible, please contact us to request an application for our Sliding-Scale Discount Program or to establish a payment plan.
Consent, Intake, and Family History: You will need to complete our patient consents and intake information prior to your consultation. This will include details regarding your family history. Find what information you should know ahead of your Family History here.
These forms will take about an hour to complete and must be finished at least 48 hours ahead of your genetic counseling consultation, or your appointment may be canceled and require rescheduling.
Genetic Counseling Consultation: Your scheduled appointment with one of our genetic counselors can be accessed through our patient portal using a telephone, smartphone, tablet, or computer. Appointments generally last about an hour. Any genetic testing, referrals, resource requests, or additional care will be discussed at this time.
Pursuing Genetic Testing: If you decide to pursue genetic testing, there will be a $25 fee collected that covers the cost of obtaining consent for your testing from our third-party physician. Obtaining this consent typically takes under two weeks. Once consent is obtained, your testing will be ordered, and a staff member will reach out to provide you with detailed next steps.
Reviewing Results in a Follow-Up Appointment: A follow-up appointment is recommended to review your review results once they become available. Follow-up appointments are scheduled for half an hour and will incur a fee of $150 per half-hour. We recommend following up one year after your last appointment to check in on your overall wellness.
The total cost for an initial one-hour appointment, the genetic testing consent fee, and a follow up appointment is $475. This does not include fees for the genetic testing itself, which goes through the genetic testing lab. We can select genetic testing based on the options with feasible costs.
